Right after an earlobe piercing your ear may be red or swollen. On a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is passing out from the pain I would say only about 1-2 at the most. I can only advise on lobe piercing as this is the only part of my ears that I have pierced.
Some people dont experience any pain. That should go away after a day or two. If it continues feels itchy or has a discharge try this.
